The Makita DSC251 18v brushless steel rod cutter is powered by an 18v Li-ion LXT slide-type battery, with brushless motor, to deliver up to 2, 000 rpm for excellent flush cutting. The DSC251 is equipped with high visibility heavy-duty fluorescent material guide, battery fuel gauge, movable hand grip with 3 positions, removable dust covers and smooth nut mounting without debarring.

This model includes Automatic Torque Drive Technology (ADT), that automatically changes the cutting speed according to the load condition. Fine edging cutting can be achieved with a 3.5mm cut from the ground/surface and the DSC251 has a blade diameter of 110mm and a rebar cutting capacity of 10 to 25mm.

• Ideal for edge cutting of threaded rods and rebars
• Less damage to the threaded rods and therefore nuts can be installed without removing burrs
• 3-Position removable side grip allows operator to hold tool at comfortable position
• Surface treatment of base cover prevents abrasion at cutting
